I realized this years ago sitting with Navajo Code Talker Sam Tso. He thought he was fighting for his Navajo people, but when he got home he realized he was fighting for all of America.
Native people serve at a higher per capita rate in the Armed Forces than any other group. These pieces honor that spirit.
The Navajo Code Talkers Proudly used their language to help secure the Pacific during WWII.
Navajo Code Talkers also served in the Korean War.
The code was classified until the 1990's.
