Four Worlds Bracelet

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
"These are even more beautiful when you see them in person and they're surprisingly very comfortable on the wrist." - Sara B.

Black, Blue, Yellow, & White. The Colors of The Four Worlds... Modeled After Wally's Staff.

The artist, Etta Black, starts with nickel plates and covers them in deer hide. Then she starts the complex art of beading while the plate is straight. She says she goes one bead at a time and puts the colors together as she goes.

Once the beading is completed all the way around the plate, it is then carefully bent to the shape of the cuff. She says it can take up to two full days to complete one single work of art.

** This bracelet is approximately 3/4" wide and adjustable in size as it can be carefully bent to fit the wrist comfortably. Suggested for 5"-9.5" wrists (select the correct size for you). **

Intricate Beadwork

A Very "Native" Look

Beadwork is a special skill that has been passed down among our people (the Diné or Navajo). Each piece is so beautifully unique with all hand-strung beads. These particular bracelets take up to two full days to complete. These intricate bracelets are designed by Wally Brown--to mimic his hand-carved and painted staffs--and brought to life by Etta Black, a Navajo Jewelry Artist.

Why Wear Silver & Turquoise

Turquoise Tells The Holy People You Know Where You Came From

The legends say... turquoise is meant to remind us of our existence in the Blue World. The Blue World is the second in the teachings of the four worlds. It has a few different names: The Second World, The Blue World, The Spirit World, and The World With No Surface. Turquoise is said to offer protection. To identify to the Holy People, the Five-Fingered beings who know where they come from. Our Navajo Historian, Wally Brown, uses his necklace to teach about the symbolism of turquoise.

Meet The Artist

Meet Etta, Navajo Jewelry Artist

Etta's specialty is beadwork. And not just any beadwork... but intricate beadwork.

She learned to bead several years ago from her eldest sister and has taken the craft on as her own.

Her favorite thing to make is beaded cuff bracelets. It takes her up to two days to complete a single work of art.

Etta starts with nickel plates and covers them in deer hide. Then she starts the complex art of beading while the plate is straight.

She says she goes one bead at a time and puts the colors together as she goes.

Once the beading is completed all the way around the plate, it is then carefully bent to the shape of the cuff.

Etta is of the Áshįįh (Salt) Clan.

Hugh C.

“...that large turquoise piece in Roy Huskies pendant Islands is the most beautiful turquoise I've ever seen. And being born and always living in S.W. Oklahoma, Native Country, I've seen plenty. I've got to take a picture of it. It just grabs me and I love to just look and admire it.”

Kelley H.

"So happy with the special Traditional Way necklace. We went to Angel Oak, a very old tree on Johns Island, SC to put it on."

Jennifer B.

“This afternoon, I had a discussion with my niece and nephew about wearing turquoise and why it’s important especially when we do not reside in the four scared mountains. I didn’t know all the other details mentioned... now I can provide more context to my niece and nephew about wearing turquoise and silver when I see them again.”

Nattalia N.
