Both Boys and girls go through a coming of age ceremony.

The ceremony for the boys is a simple sweatlodge where father, grandfather and uncles counsel the boy in the things he will need to know as a man.

For the girls the ceremony is much more. It lasts 4 days and touches on deep spiritual beliefs. The girl is becoming a woman and is preparing to bring beings into the world. This is no small responsibility.

The women in her family teach her about the responsibility and teach her that she is a Sacred being like Changing Woman.
