In the traditional teachings of our navajo people the beauty way path is the standard. This is the path that our people are encouraged to walk.
It is the path the two boys (Hero Twins) took to return to their father. The one who watches us by sunlight.
Our diné were given the "Trotting Coyote" stories to teach the important morals and important things to staying on the Beauty Path.
The coyote is selfish only thinking of himself. He never takes ownership. This is why we are told "Don't be like Coyote".
The teaching is... we must take ownership. We must make amends with other Five-Fingered beings and the Holy People.
