Traditionally the way our diné governed among themselves was through clan leaders.
These clan leaders worked with the Chiefs. Six War Chiefs and Six Peace Chiefs.
Our Navajo people were peaceful.
They understood that society needed peace to thrive.
Known as peacemakers they were very tolerant.
