The First Sacred Mountain
When our Diné came from the east to this part of the continent... This was the first mountain they saw.
And to the north are the hills made of water.
When they arrived they say the grass was tall. The arrived in the fall and described the area as being yellow.
They say there were many animals in the area.
This is one of the areas that is spoken about in our ceremonies.
