In this video, Wally shares some of the meaning embedded in Navajo art.
Today our young people are learning art and sharing it with the world. Many of them are using patterns and symbols in their work. These patterns and symbols are things they learned from an elder at sometime in their life.
They may not know or understand the exact teaching but they are passing the teachings along in their art.
True to the Navajo way… some things are adopted from others and then improved on. And some things are straight from the ingenuity of our Navajo people.
