In the old days when our Navajo people would get lice they would use it as an opportunity to help each other.
And it may sound weird today but it wasn't uncommon for our people to ask friends and family to help pick the lice from their hair.
Navajo Historian Wally Brown shares this teaching and how it was an opportunity for people to spend time with each others that under normal circumstances they wouldn’t get the opportunity to do.
Lice, along with “Mr. and Mrs. Poverty were left alive by Monster Slayer to serve a purpose.
