Do Navajos Worship Mother Earth?
In this video, Wally teaches about a commonly misunderstanding.
While our traditional teachings say to give thanks for Mother Earth, the Rain, the Atmosphere, and the Sun... We do not pray to or worship these.
Part of the condition of keeping the language was that we would speak on behalf of these to the Holy People.
The name for the creator that is worshiped is not a name but rather a description. This is what causes some of the issues and misunderstandings.
