Do This For a Peaceful Life

There is no word for “sorry”.

Among our Diné there is a code of conduct or… a philosophy that requires one to be kind and forgiving as well as charitable.

Jijooba'á and Hijooba'á These two words sound very similar. One means to forgive and let go of any ill will. The other means to give freely when others are seeking your help.

Navajo Historian, Wally Brown, teaches the difference between these two words and how they are an important part of being Navajo or Diné.
