Navajo Pyramids... The Male Hogan
Built similar to a pyramid, the Male Hogan was the first structure modeled after the animals.
The traditional teachings say... long ago, when our people lived in the rock structures The Holy People warned them.
They were told to move out of those structures because they were not safe.
The Holy People instructed them to watch the animals and see how they built their homes. Then do something similar.
The Male Hogan was the first hogan made in this way. The Hogan is thought of as an extension of Mother Earth.
