Every bead tells a story in the Storyteller's Treasure Turquoise Necklace, a one of a kind handcrafted design by Navajo artist Darlene Huskie. Measuring 23.5 inches, this extraordinary necklace combines genuine turquoise with an artistic collection of natural materials, creating a piece that feels like a treasured keepsake gathered over a lifetime. Rich colors, playful accents, and meaningful textures make this one of the most distinctive necklaces in the collection.

Each necklace is individually hand strung using genuine turquoise alongside opalite, apple coral, natural shell, dahlia rose shell, mother of pearl, amethyst, orange coral, red coral, pink conch shell, blue lapis, ghost beads, and baby olive shell. Every turquoise stone displays its own natural matrix and color variations, while each accent bead contributes its own unique character and personality. Because natural materials are used throughout, no two necklaces are ever exactly alike, ensuring your piece is truly one of a kind.

For more than 30 years, Darlene Huskie has handcrafted authentic Navajo jewelry that honors generations of traditional artistry. Her designs celebrate the beauty of natural materials while preserving techniques that have been passed from one generation to the next. Every necklace is carefully assembled by hand, reflecting the quality and craftsmanship that define authentic Navajo jewelry.

The vibrant blend of turquoise with colorful shells, gemstones, coral, and carved accents creates a necklace that is both whimsical and elegant. Every glance reveals another unexpected detail, making it a conversation piece that celebrates creativity while remaining rooted in authentic Navajo craftsmanship. Whether worn as a statement necklace or displayed as part of a collection, it offers a style unlike any other.

Your necklace includes a Certificate of Authenticity, verifying it was handcrafted by Navajo artist Darlene Huskie. Purchasing authentic Native American jewelry helps preserve traditional craftsmanship and supports Navajo artists who continue passing these skills from one generation to the next.

Meet The Artist

Meet Darlene... Navajo Jewelry Artist

Darlene Huskie is a Navajo jewelry artist with nearly three decades of experience creating hand-strung turquoise necklaces and traditional Diné adornment. Taught within her husband’s family, she carries forward a lineage of beadwork that blends patience, precision, and cultural memory.

Working with turquoise, sterling silver, shell, and glass beads, Darlene carefully selects and arranges each element by hand, allowing color, balance, and natural beauty to guide every design. Her pieces are not mass-produced — each necklace is individually made, reflecting the quiet skill and steady hands of an artist who has spent a lifetime perfecting her craft.

Darlene is of the Nakai Diné Clan, and her work reflects the enduring Navajo tradition of jewelry as both personal adornment and cultural expression.

Authentic Turquoise

With only 5 active turquoise mines left in the U.S.—led by the iconic Kingman Mine—much of today’s turquoise comes from past sources. Check the map… your piece may be rarer than you think.
